Olivia O'Flynn - Writer & Actor
Olivia O’Flynn is a graduate of AIM Dramatic Arts (formerly the Australian Academy of Dramatic Arts) 2014 Bachelor of Performance. Born and raised in the Blue Mountains, Olivia won the ZONTA International Female Performing Arts award in 2011. During her studies Olivia’s theatre credits include; ‘Aftershocks', 'Her Naked Skin', 'It Was All Too Much For Her', and was the lead in Kate Gaul’s ‘Medea'. Since graduation, Olivia has performed in both the Sydney and Melbourne seasons of 'Vampire Lesbians of Sodom', 'The Heidi Chronicles' and Channel Nine's 'Love Child'. Crocodile Tears is her playwriting debut.
Alexander Butt - Director
Alexander is the Artistic Director of Brevity Theatre Company and the Associate Producer for Playwriting Australia. In 2012 he was a company actor with shake & stir theatre co and spent 2014 doing a theatre mentorship with Monkey Baa Theatre Company on their national tour of Pete the Sheep directed by Jonathan Biggins. Alexander has directed Tender Napalm, Fully Committed and Being Norwegian for Brevity Theatre and in 2011 was the Assistant Director on Ruben Guthrie directed by David Berthold at La Boîte Theatre Company. He has produced work with Rock Surfers Theatre Company, Malthouse Theatre, Brilliant Adventures, Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival, Sydney Fringe Festival, Melbourne Fringe Festival, the Old 505 Theatre and the Old Fitz Theatre. He produced the 2016 National Play Festival for Playwriting Australia and in 2015 was the Assistant Festival Producer of Bondi Feast Festival for Rock Surfers Theatre Company.
Erin Taylor - Dramaturg
Erin has been collaborating and directing since graduating from the University of Wollongong Faculty of Creative Arts, where she has also worked as a dramaturgy tutor and as a guest director. As Co-Founder of arts collective Rue de la Rocket (RDR), Erin has developed new work for The Sydney Fringe, Tits Up, This is My Box and OurShop and #OnTrendTravelfor This is Not Art Festival (TINA). This is My Box toured to New York and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2013 and Bondi Feast 2014. In 2013 the RDR Collective participated in a month long residency at Red Gate Gallery in Beijing to develop new work. Since completing an Internship with Playwriting Australia in 2013 Erin has worked with PWA as a Script Assessor and Dramaturg for the National Script Workshops. In 2014 she participated in the inaugural PWA Director’s Studio and was Literary Intern at Belvoir. In 2015 Erin was an Associate Artist with Rock Surfers Theatre Company and was Assistant Director on Darlinghurst Theatre Company’s recent production of Patricia Cornelius’ Savages earlier this year. She will direct Cornelius’ play Slut for the Festival Fatale this October.
Katelyn Shaw - Sound Designer
Katelyn is a Sydney based Sound Designer who recently graduated from NIDA. Her previous design credits include (as Associate Sound Designer) Swallow (National Theatre of Parramatta), (as Sound Designer) Remembering Pirates (Darlinghurst Theatre Company), Look Back in Anger (Red Line Productions), Hurt (Whitebox Theatre), Inner Voices (Don’t Look Away/Red Line Productions), A Man with Five Children (Darlinghurst Theatre Company), Belleville (Mad March Hare/Red Line Productions), Space Cats (Brevity Theatre), The Whale (Red Line Productions), Tender Napalm (Brevity Theatre/Red Line Productions), and A Riff on Keef: The Human Myth (Ocelot Productions/Griffin Independent). Within NIDA, her sound design credits included Top Girls (dir. Susanna Dowling) and Choreography (dir. Garry Stewart). She also completed secondments throughout 2015 with Max Lyandvert on STC’s Endgame and Belvoir’s Wizard of Oz and with Steve Francis on MTC’s The Weir.
