After a highly acclaimed season at the 2013 Sydney Fringe Festival, Fully Committed has an encore season at the Old Fitzroy Theatre.

This sharp and funny one act play follows a day in the life of Sam Peliczowski, an out-of-work actor who mans the red-hot reservation line at Manhattan's number-one restaurant. Amid the barrage, Sam's got his own needs to contend with—his recently widowed dad wants him home for Christmas, and he's up for a choice part at Lincoln Center. While juggling scheming socialites, name-dropping wannabes, fickle celebrities and egomaniacal bosses, can he manage to look out for himself?

"Not only is his comic timing impeccable, he makes Sam totally three dimensional, whilst simultaneously bringing credibility to all the side characters and a host of sub-plots." Sydney Arts Guide

""This version of Fully Committed is still a dazzling feat of energetic brilliance, but there is more to feast upon than its glittery surface. It is to be expected this sort of performance will improve with time, but under Alex’s careful direction, and Benjamin’s commanding lights, Nick Curnow’s schizophrenic Sam, the actor walking around among us with all those characters bubbling up inside him, shines with an intelligent depth that comfortably reflects the great comic timing and simply brilliant characterisation Curnow is able to manifest."
 - Lisa Thatcher

"Nick Curnow delivers almost forty characters in this one-man show in a testament to his range and capability. But it’s not just an actor showing off: there’s a coherent storyline, and it’s weirdly touching (as well as super funny)." - Jodi Mcalister

"Fully Committed was bursting at the seams. Just imagining how many pages and words on those scripts Alex Butt (director) and Nick Curnow (actor) had to plough through to get the performance on stage makes me stress-cry tears of blood. The production is exceptionally admirable. Alex has a history of outstanding producing skills (Wittenberg at the Old Fitzroy and the premiere season of Fully Committed as part of Sydney Fringe Festival), and in this production he takes another step towards ruling the sydney theatre world by directing this show cleanly and with precision." - Kyle Walmsley

"What really caps this production is the nuance Curnow brings: it would’ve been all too easily to render every character as a cliche or caricature, but at least some come off as both accessible and sympathetic. Here’s an actor fully committed to giving his all in preparation for and execution of a role. But even as I watched, I could well imagine, with a bit of spit and polish, this could make for a solid little season at a Wharf 2, Eternity Playhouse, or Ensemble." - Lloyd Bradford Syke

"Actor Nick Curnow, under the direction of Alexander Butt, does it tremendous justice, natural and believable as the pressured-to-the-hilt Sam and laugh-out-loud funny as his cast of persistent customers and unhelpful co-staff. As The Brevity Theatre Co.'s debut production, Fully Committed suggests that the Australian theatre scene can celebrate an exciting addition." - Jasmine Crittenden

"One of the most impressive feats of comic performance you are ever likely to see." - Lisa Thatcher

"Fully Committed is a one man show designed to show off an actor's virtuosity. And it does. Nick Curnow is superb, creating thirty eight characters in fifty minutes." - Theatre Red

"The experience of watching this production feels as though at a magic show, where the audience is kept fascinated, amused and gobsmacked for the entire duration. The actor switches characters at lightning speed, and we marvel at his ability in portraying such an astounding range of people, as well as his extraordinary memory, which in the absence of other actors, is the only thing he can rely on. Like an athlete on stage, we admire the skill, technique and sheer hard work he has obviously put in for this production." - Suzy Goes See

"Fully Committed was The Brevity Theatre Co's first ever production. It's an exhilarating start." - Weekend Notes

"Curnow’s vocal skills were terrific. We recognised each character immediately and his nuance and range was impressive. This is a performance marathon." - Shit On Your Play
